If you are a "Do-It-Yourself" type person, but have never sprayed for weeds before, we urge you to be very careful. Herbicides come in two types: selective herbicides and non-selective herbicides. Seletive herbicides are designed to combat against specific plants(weeds) that pose a problem, while having no effect on surrounding plant material. Non-selective herbicides, on the other hand, do not care what type of plant you are spraying, it will kill what it touches. If you are not careful, choosing the wrong type of herbicide can be very damaging and costly.
